Acai Berry – it’s everywhere! What’s the real benefit?

Haven’t you heard about this berry all over the place? It’s on Oprah, it’s posted all over your computer advertisements and people can’t even pronounce it correctly! It’s pronounced (ah-sigh-ee) and has been used for centuries by the people of South America in the Amazon rain forest. It has just recently found its popularity here in the states when nutritionists discovered the many health benefits that are packed in this berry just slightly larger than our American blueberry (read previous post). It is considered to be one of the best antioxidants.
